Promotion of Employment Opportunities and Women’s Participation in the Metal Processing Industry

The implementation of the EU project “Methodology for Applying Environmental Sustainability in Metal Processing Operations” reflects Dekor d.o.o.’s commitment to promoting equal employment opportunities and encouraging the inclusion of women in managerial and other positions within the metal processing industry.

The metal processing industry has traditionally been perceived as a male-dominated profession, resulting in a relatively low representation of women in the sector. Promoting gender equality and encouraging the employment of women are integral parts of Dekor d.o.o.’s corporate culture. Our company aims to encourage more women to apply for positions in the metal processing industry in order to achieve a more balanced representation of men and women at all organizational levels.

At Dekor d.o.o., we place great importance on gender equality and maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination in any form. During the recruitment process, candidates are assessed solely on the basis of their qualifications, professional experience, and competencies, regardless of gender, age, religion, political affiliation, or any other personal characteristic. We believe that both men and women bring different, yet equally valuable, qualities that contribute to the company’s success.

It is important to note that although metal processing is often associated with physically demanding work, technological advancements have significantly reduced the physical demands of many tasks. Today, the majority of jobs in this industry can be performed equally efficiently by both women and men. Through the implementation of this project, the company will make additional efforts to increase the interest of women in employment opportunities within the organization. During job interviews, special emphasis will be placed on the company’s commitment to gender equality.

At Dekor d.o.o., we believe that women perform work tasks just as successfully as men—and often even more effectively—while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills in complex situations. They are characterized by precision, patience, empathy, and a strong motivation to achieve goals. We firmly believe that gender should never be considered a factor influencing productivity. With effective organization of both personal responsibilities (family and home) and professional obligations (meetings, decision-making, and fieldwork), women are fully equal to men. There is therefore no justified reason for any form of discrimination.
