Project name: Application of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the factory of lighting fixtures
Brief description of the project: On December 22, 2021. the company Dekor tvornica rasvjete d.o.o. signed with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency, the Agreement on the allocation of grants for the purpose of implementing the project entitled “Application of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in the factory of lighting fixtures”, contract reference number KK.04.1.1.03 .0346. The implementation of the project was co-financed from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism 2021-2026.
Increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in the company Dekor tvornica rasvjete d.o.o. will be achieved by installing photovoltaic converters with a degree of utilization greater than 15% for own production of electricity and intended for own consumption, installation of a heat pump, installation of solar heat converters with a degree of useful effectiveness greater than 70%, installation of a waste heat recovery system from flue gases, replacement of outdated of an energy-inefficient machine, by replacing the forklift, installing the compensation of idle energy and energy renovation of the envelope. These measures will save the annual delivered energy in the amount of 82.9% in the production plant and 47.2% in the building.
Project goals: reduction of the amount of delivered energy on an annual level in the production plant and in the building, reduction of the amount of delivered energy on an annual level for the entire company, production of electricity from renewable sources, reduction of CO2 emissions on an annual level, reduction of the amount of delivered energy from conventional sources, replacement less environmentally friendly fuel with more environmentally friendly fuel, fuel replacement from environmentally friendly electricity to more environmentally friendly solar energy.
Expected results of the project:
- reduction of the amount of delivered energy on an annual basis by 82.9% in the production facility and 47.2% in the building
- reduction of the amount of delivered energy on an annual basis by 79.4% for the entire company
- annual production of electricity from renewable sources after the implementation of the project (photovoltaic power plants, thermal energy from the air/water heat pump and solar inverters)
- reduction of CO2 emissions
- reducing the delivered amount of energy from conventional sources
- fuel replacement from environmentally unfavorable electrical energy to more environmentally favorable solar energy
Total value of the project: EUR 2,162,188.28
EU co-financing of the project: EUR 1,343,791.74
Project implementation period: 15.07.2020. until 15.06.2023.
